Ahhh, what a crazy month March was!!! Parker James Bolt was welcomed into our family on March 9, 2009 (11 days early). I think that I had convinced myself throughout my entire pregnancy that he would be overdue that when I had my doctor's appointment on Thursday, March 5th and they told me that I was already 3-4cm dilated, I FREAKED OUT! The doctor actually said that she would be surprised if I made it through the weekend! Well, needless to say, Sunday arrived and since Parker was not here yet, I went to work on Monday. All throughout the day on Monday, I was having lower back pain and cramping, but I wasn't able to time the contractions (I wasn't even feeling them per say). Thank God something told me to call the doctor because when I got to his office at 3:15, I was not only 5cm dilated, but I was also having contractions every 7 minutes. He also discovered that Parker had flipped over into a breech position AND he was facing out. They sent me immediately over to the hospital for a C-section. It was very scary, especially because we were not prepared at all for a C-section, but everything went smoothly overall. Parker was welcomed into this world at 7:53pm on March 9, 2009. He was 7 lbs 15 oz and 19 in long. We are enjoying absolutely every second that we get to spend with him...even at 3 in the morning! He is such a good baby and we thank God for him everyday.
